LPI

LPI is used to detect casting, forging and welding surface defects such as hairline cracks, surface porosity, leaks in new products, and fatigue cracks on in-service components.

Conventional UT

Ultrasonic shearwave is used in structural , fabrication and in service inspections. Due to the probe sizes conventional UT is often the only method that is accesible to an inspector.

VT

Visual testing is the oldest and most common NDT techniques. It is typically the first step in the examination process to inspect a variety of product forms including castings, forgings, machined components and weld elements. Compared to other techniques, visual testing is low in cost and easy to apply, and often eliminates the need for further types of testing.
